KaosPilots in work – The statistics
Today more than 500 students have graduated from the KaosPilots. You can find these new KaosPilots working in almost all types of occupations, and in quite a number of countries.

Approximately 25 – 35% of the graduates start up a company of their own after completing the education. Many of them even turn out to be what you might call “serial-entrepreneurs”, starting up several companies over time. For the most part, these new businesses are small, consisting of only a few people, or maybe just the entrepreneur by herself. Keeping the companies this size is usually a conscious decision on the part of the KaosPilot.
It is often important for our graduates to take an active part in projects, collaborations and networks rather than working solely with leadership or management, and they tend to enjoy taking on the challenge of being in charge of starting up a new business.
Another 33% end up in the private sector, holding positions ranging from CEO to managing specialized functions. Most of these graduates work within “development” projects, such as coming up with, or implementing, new ideas, concepts, human resources, marketing etc. Many of these people have created their own positions within the companies they work for; that is to say that they hold positions that did not exist before they came onboard.
Finally, the last 30% have gotten positions at NGOs or public organizations. Within these organizations they have similar responsibilities, and work with comparatively the same focuses, as mentioned above for those working for private companies.
The KaosPilots have not always been an international education as much as a Scandinavian education, so most of our alumni currently have their base in the Scandinavian countries, but perhaps over time this could change.
It should also be mentioned that it is not unusual for KaosPilot alumni to try out several different career options within a relatively short time span following graduation, in order to broaden their horizons and find the perfect fit in a job.
Finally a number of our graduates choose to continue their studies, either directly upon graduation or after some years.
