Year 2

INTRODUCTION

After being introduced to a lot of tools and methods, and a lot of new knowledge about yourself, the second year at the KaosPilots is the time to use all that you have learned during the last year, not just with your teammates, but when interacting with the outside world on our own.

It is often a challenging time because implementing and perfecting our learning in new settings forces us to open up to a lot of new reflections, while also digesting the old ones, but it is an eye-opening experience to do so.

The third semester at the KaosPilot program is concerned with deepening your understanding and skill set concerning Creative Process Design. You will learn to be able to perform as a process consultant and design processes for change in cooperation with a client.

The fourth semester is what is referred to as the Outpost, where you will go to a creative hotspot somewhere else in the world, together with your team. In this new context you learn to see new perspectives of your learning so far, and you will work on different projects with international partners, meaning you will have to navigate in a new sort of chaos. The idea is that these experiences will add another layer to the program, and subsequently allow you to grow further.

Creative Process Design I - Fundamentals
The aim of the component is to provide the student with fundamental theoretical understanding of systemic processes, in order to act as a systemic process consultant. The student will learn to create and support the ability of a client organisation to create change and development through internal processes. Furthermore, the student, as process consultant, should learn to be able to use and practice the transformation of knowledge, mental resources and competencies within the client organisation into needed and concrete results.
Creative Process Design II – In context
The component introduces change management at an organisational level. It emphasises the role of management and investigates organisational culture. It will train the student in the role as process consultant. The student will experiment with different structured approaches to designing processes, with the aim of helping organisations and groups expand their capacity to achieve their goals. Systems theory is further explored, as an interdisciplinary framework for helping the organisation to unfold its potential.
Creative Process Design III – Entering the global context
The component takes place in an international setting, requiring the student to adjust and perform in an unfamiliar cultural context. Two major themes, culture and trends, and globalization, are presented, discussed and investigated through experiential processes. As such, it is an exploration related to new challenges and needs. Complex and changing assignments are carried out through the development of teams and organizations and by engaging with multiple stakeholders.
