With water runs hope

Water sustains all life, yet it faces global challenges like scarcity, pollution, flooding, aging infrastructure, and inequitable access, worsened by climate change. These issues affect communities everywhere, including your own.

This assignment focuses on water as a resource to protect and value. We aim to increase individual and collective responsibility for our environment.

 

Your challenge

Choose one of the following paths to explore:

  1. Create a Local Campaign
    Design an engaging campaign to raise awareness in your own community about local water challenges. How can you inspire people to act and think differently about water?
  2. Develop an Innovation Project
    Envision a creative solution, initiative, or collaboration that could address water challenges in your own community. Explore how policies or partnerships between citizens, businesses, and governments could transform how we manage and value water. How can different stakeholders work together to create impact?

What we’re looking for

We’re not expecting fully developed solutions!
This is about generating ideas and sparking imagination! Your work will be evaluated on:

  • Creativity: Is your approach fresh, inspiring, and engaging?
  • Clarity: Is your idea communicated clearly?
  • Visionary Thinking: Does your idea imagine a better future?
  • Inclusivity: Have you considered diverse voices and stakeholders?

 

Submission details

  • Format: You can present your idea in any creative format: a video, written concept, poster, audio, or digital presentation.
  • Length:
    • For videos/audio: Maximum 2 minutes.
    • For written/text submissions: Maximum 2 pages.
  • Make sure your submission is accessible online and available throughout the application process.

 

What happens next?

This assignment is part of a collaboration with Greenpeace Denmark (an NGO focused on environmental advocacy), Aarhus Vand (a government organization managing water infrastructure), and Grundfos (a business specializing in innovative water solutions).

If invited to the workshop, you’ll work with these organizations as challenge holders and clients, around an exciting local challenge related to water!
