Please introduce yourself
My name is Anders Sjöstedt. I come from Malmö, Sweden.
After many years in New York and Spain with my husband David, we have moved back to Sweden to focus on the development of our hair care company Martinsson King.
Which team and when did you graduate?
Team 2, 1996!
What have you been doing since you graduated as a Kaospilot?
Professionally, I have mainly worked with change management and business transformation for large organisations. I have built up startup incubators (for example Minc in Malmö, Sweden) and led the executive training and consulting branch for the digital education company Hyper Island.
What is important for you in your job?
Looking back, I can see that I am attracted to the creation of something new and ambitious, where I have a mandate to build and change.
I can also see that I tend to start looking for something else when I no longer feel freedom of movement, or when a job moves from build-up to maintenance.
What major learnings would you point out from your experience that have shaped you as a leader?
Treat everyone better than they deserve.
What is your biggest source for inspiration right now?
My husband, for the past 12 years – and forever.
What would would be an example of a learning or an experience from your time at Kaospilot that has been important to you?
See above 🙂
What is a piece of advice that you would like to give future Kaospilot graduates?
Take time to map, connect with, nurture and be valuable to your connections, as much as you can. They will all be valuable to you one day and it’s too late to build your network the day you need them.
