Program Overview
In this experiential course, participants build on the essential tools for effective communication from Powerful Presence 1 for more advanced range and freedom in expression.
In a small group setting, you will learn how to go from standing to moving purposefully within a space while holding the attention of your audience. You will learn the power of storytelling as a leadership quality. You will work with best communication practices gathered over decades from a range of disciplines to broaden your toolkit.
After you have completed Powerful Presence you will have an expanded suite of communication skills as well as presentation skills.
Content
Working with your trainer, you will have the opportunity to tap into and discover important stories that tell about your leadership qualities and values. You will learn how to create deeper resonance and connection between yourself and others. We work with musicality by exploring range, tempo and techniques to vary posture and pace. You will also learn how to work with scripts.
Peer and group feedback are key components of this course. In addition to the collective setting, you will also benefit from a group meeting to celebrate learnings. The course trainer will customize content to suit your individual development goals.

What is Powerful Presence?
Powerful Presence is a two-part professional series offered by Kaospilot. Each of Course 1 and Course 2, are a two-day course with the option to take them back to back. Course 1 teaches the essentials to unlock your leadership voice. Course 2 teaches additional techniques to help you find freedom in expression.
Both courses expand your suite of communication skills as well as presentation skills.
Is Powerful Presence 1 a requirement for Powerful Presence 2?
Yes. The series builds on tools and techniques introduced in Course 1. These are foundational to the advanced content in Course 2.

Having a powerful presence is an essential leadership and life skill. Presence empowers you to create from resources available, accept responsibility and develop emotional capacity to make mindful choices.

About Kristin Birkeland
Kristin Birkeland is an experienced teacher, leader and consultant and she has worked for more than 20 years with creativity in education and in organisations. She is Kaospilot alumni and former team leader at Kaospilot and is recognised for her expertise in building strong learning cultures in teams. Kristin is also co-founder of the the NGO ‘Citizen Change’ (Sager der Samler) which has become a national point of reference for the innovative potential of citizen mobilisation.
